Condition: This trumpet looks excellent! As mentioned above. There's one or two very small areas of discoloration, and there's some light scratches throughout, but nothing you'd expect beyond normal use.
It's pretty evident this trumpet has been very well looked after. There are a few slightly heavier scratches on the pipe as it curves up to the bell, and one very small ding on the small slide, but really overall this trumpet looks great. The pads on the water valves look pretty good as well. The mouthpiece also looks good as well: a few small nicks, and the very end of the shaft is bent, but it attaches to the lead pipe snugly and without issue. This is a great looking trumpet that sounds great as well!

Do not buy a cheapinstrument unless you just want to look at it. An instrument that is made with quality workmanship and experience will be easier to learn and play with a quality tone. Up for auction is a Kanstul trumpet. This instrument is in good condition and plays well.
I am not 100% certain what model this trumpet is because I cannot find a model number engraved; however. This horn has a.460' bore and a 4 3/4' bell which are the same measurements as a model 1000. Its serial number is 1049 and the tuning slide is marked'44'these are the only numbers on the instrument.
The bell engraving reads'Kanstul Fullerton CA USA' As for the aesthetic condition of the horn there are small dings, and some scratching and pitting throughout the horn, the leadpipe brace has been resoldered, and one bottom valve cap has been replaced. The bell is also a bit rippled, and the nuts on the slide stop are missing. All this is visible in the pictures, and none of it affects the playability of the horn.
Are in good condition with good compression, and the slides all move. This instrument is not lacquered; therefore, this instrument is pure brass, and may have to be polished every few months, if played often. The fingerprints should also be wiped off after playing.
