Hello everyone!I have a problem with regards to the installation of my new canon pixma ip2770, it is indeed a new printer, but it seems to there is a problem accessing the device, the printer is visible at the device manager, with the yellow exclamation point on it, itried downloading the driver for the printer but it cannot detect the printer when I continue with the installation.These are some of the steps i tried that did not work:1. Run the driver installer in compatibility mode2. Tried to update driver from the device manager option3.

Thanks for the reply,I have tried to install the latest printer driver, and unfortunately, it did not work, I forgot to mention that I have also tried to install another canon printer ip1980 on my laptop, still I got the same problem.

When I try to update the driver from online,it says something like this 'Device driver was not successfully installed', when I tried to search update from my computer it says 'Windows has found a driver for your device but couldn't install, access is denied'.I also tried to install the device on safe mode thinking some applications try to block the process, still did not work for me, it gives me this message 'Windows has found a driver for your device but couldn't install, access is denied' then i checked theinstall error under device manager/device propertiesits error 00000005Thanks again. Canon printers a real sensative with driver/software installs,if youdont do it right the 1st time it can be a problem.1st,once printer isplugged in & OS starts,you recieve found new hardware,the OS installerstarts,let it run w/o any input,but at the same time,open the software/drivers from canon,they run auto,the OS installer will complete once allfrom canon are installed.You need to chk canon for multiple downloads,start with the 1st.Also,with a failed installation like you had,sometimesyou need to plug into a diffrent port,this lets you start from scratch. Hi,Be sure to contact Canon Support.Be sure you are logged in as ADMIN.If you have ANY printers installed now uninstall them ALL and reboot.Use this spooler troubleshooter to see if you can clear all and then re-install the printer. Thanks for the reply Andrew E.,I agree with you that canon printers are sensitive, and I've been thinking of compatibility issue between canon and microsoft, especially when windows updates automatically, the printer works fine before, I don't know if something from the windows updatesmessed it up. I already tried plugging the device in different ports of my laptop, I even tried another canon printer that worked on my windows xp pc on my windows 7 laptop, from there it did not work. I have tried to install/re-install the driver multipletimes already. I could not identify the issue further except for 'access denied, error 00000005' when trying to install the driver from windows update.God bless!
