But it has a problem with some songs on Rock Band 2. People say that a DVD5 version of the game would work, but you don't have to cut content of the game, just edit the ROM in a way the console will read it like a DVD5, even if it has the size of a DVD9 disc (something related to changing the layer during the reading). How can I do it?
Every tutorial I found on the internet is based on cutting content or compressing files. Thanks for the help!. The method is to copy the files out of both layers and put the contents of both layers together in a single 'root' folder (I'm pretty sure layer 1 only contains ARK parts, the rest of the files are on layer 0) and then rebuild it using ImgBurn into an oversized single layer ISO. You'll likely need to use a tool to access the L1 files, back when I needed to do this I used one of the PS2 ISO tools named Apache (I seem to remember I liked 2's UI better but it's possible it doesn't work on a modern Windows).
To use it with OPL, you'll need to turn on a compatibility mode in the game's settings within OPL (I forget exactly which mode it is, but it's the one to do with DVD-9).I'm not sure if any of the newer OPL builds have better compatibility with unmodified RB2 DVD-9 images, but I've been meaning to check (I have already replaced my 'flattened' ISO with a stock one in preparation).
